Serika

Our "Serika", whose name pays homage to Sergio and Erika, is a wine with a big personality, as Tazzelenghe does best; after all, in Friulian, this word means "tongue-cutter". In Friuli, it is now rare to see hectares dedicated to the cultivation of this native grape par excellence, which creates an intense wine, ideal for more trained palates that will appreciate its austerity.

Our Tazzelenghe is trained using the Guyot technique in our vineyard, located on a terraced hillside facing south-east. The soil is a hillside Flysch, very rich in water and minerals, from which we obtain red wines with excellent structure, which are at the same time extremely refined and elegant.

The harvest takes place in early October, and is carried out strictly by hand. The grapes are vinified first in wooden casks (French oak), and then aged for at least 18 months in French barriques or tonneaux.

Our "Serika" Tazzelenghe, like all Pitticco wines, is produced according to the standards of organic production.
