Migale
Our "Migale" red, or "Mi-Ga-Le", takes its name from Sergio and Erika's three children: Michele, Gaia and Leonardo. A combination of characters and character that provided "French" inspiration for this blend of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Schioppettino and Tazzelenghe, in which the native grapes of Friuli Venezia Giulia offer the synthesis of a sincere, direct, authentic expression of the land.
The three distinct varieties are trained using the Guyot technique, and the vineyard is located on the hill, facing east and south-east. The soil is a hillside Flysch, very rich in water and minerals, from which we obtain red wines with excellent structure, which are at the same time extremely refined and elegant.
The harvest takes place in October, and is carried out strictly by hand. The grapes are vinified first in wooden casks (French oak), and then aged for around 18 months in French barriques or tonneaux, and finally blended together.
Our "Migale", like all Pitticco wines, is produced according to the standards of organic production.
